The WEU is proud to introduce a brand-new tab to our website: Health and Wellbeing. This Tab has been created to support our members with advice, guidance, and inspiration to live healthier, more balanced lives.
We know that a person’s wellbeing is closely linked to their overall happiness and life satisfaction. Feeling good about yourself and how you live your life is key to maintaining both physical and mental health. But wellbeing isn’t one-size-fits-all as we all have individual experiences.
Health and Wellbeing is shaped by a combination of factors, including your physical, mental, emotional, social, health and improved daily routines. The WEU understands that balancing work demands with the need to care for your health and wellbeing is essential. Doing so can help reduce anxiety, low mood, and dissatisfaction. Improving Wellbeing helps in fostering a more fulfilling life.
While work plays an important role in providing income, structure, and social interaction—it’s just one part of our lives. True wellbeing also comes from setting achievable goals, developing healthy self-esteem, enjoying hobbies, and making time for rest, family, and friends. Balancing the pressures of work and personal life is essential.
Many people today are looking for ways to improve their health and wellbeing. Parents want to spend more quality time with their children. Individuals are seeking out resources, services, and activities to help them feel better, live better, and connect more deeply with the people around them.
With this in mind, the new Health and Wellbeing tab will feature a wide range of helpful articles and resources, including:
- Health education and information
- Tips for improving physical and mental wellbeing
- Guidance on adapting to change and building resilience
- Insights into social issues that affect everyday life
- Tools to help you recognise when you may be becoming unwell
This is your Tab, as member of the WEU to explore, learn, and take steps toward improving your health and Wellbeing.
