WEU Campaign Updates | Issue #0001
| Stephen Morris | WEU Statements
Dear Member,
Welcome to the first edition of our Campaign Update.
A new monthly bulletin created exclusively for members of the Workers of England Union.
Every month we will bring you a brief summary of the work we are carrying out on your behalf. From campaigning for better jobs and stronger employment rights to promoting England's interests and highlighting issues affecting working people, this update is designed to keep you informed and involved.
Our Trade Union believes that members should know exactly what their Trade Union is doing. Your support allows us to campaign, research, write to decision-makers, engage with the media and raise issues that often receive little attention elsewhere.
Best wishes,
Stephen Morris
General Secretary | Workers of England Union
Protecting Jobs in England
We have continued our campaign highlighting the movement of jobs overseas and are calling for greater transparency from companies that outsource work while continuing to benefit from customers, infrastructure and public contracts in England.
Open letters are being sent to Members of Parliament asking them to support practical measures that encourage investment, employment and skills within England.
Manufacturing and Industry
Our campaign team has continued building relationships with manufacturing publications and industry media to ensure the concerns of workers receive wider coverage. Press releases and briefing papers are being distributed to encourage discussion about protecting skilled jobs and supporting manufacturing communities.

Speaking Up on Water and Local Communities
The WEU has continued to raise concerns over the management of water - services and the impact this has on local communities. We believe essential services should operate in a way that puts the interests of the public first and delivers long-term investment for the communities across England they serve.
Giving England a Stronger Voice
We continue to campaign for fair representation for England and believe that working people deserve a stronger voice in decisions that affect their jobs, communities and public services.
Media and Public Awareness
Our press office has continued issuing press releases and articles highlighting issues affecting workers across England. By increasing our media presence, we aim to ensure that the concerns of working people remain firmly on the public agenda.
