Your Right to Request Flexible Working [WR03]

Employees have a legal right to request flexible working from their first day of employment.

Flexible working means asking to change when, where, or how you work. This could include:

  • Part-time working
  • Different start or finish times
  • Compressed hours
  • Job sharing
  • Working from home or hybrid working
  • Changing the days you work

This is a right to request flexible working. It does not mean you have an automatic right to the working pattern you ask for.
